Review: S&W Complete (Mythmere)

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Some time ago I reviewed S&W Complete, I was fairly specifically reviewing the Erol Otus Blue Devil cover.  Other versions since this version I haven't bothered to buy.

Recently Matt Finch broke S&W away from FGG (or perhaps FGG ended it's partnership with Finch) for reasons I would have considered noble, as the most recent two printings of S&W Complete made by FGG (the shitty boxed set and the shitty all-female designed, vagina cover book) were utter dogshit.

Sadly, I can't exactly say that.  After Finch took S&W back he renamed Races "Ancestries", which is kowtowing to the woke twits who don't/won't/wouldn't buy the book anyway due to the frankly stupid notion that the word "race" is racist.  This is an inch we can never let turn into a mile.  This is frankly a shitty idea trying to appease shitty people who, again, are not the target audience of the game.

I assume what's happening was the game went woke, FGG went broke, and so Finch decided that woking harder was the solution to keep his creation alive as FGG started steering more toward 5E and C&C (who are, for all intents and purposes, less woke than Mythmere now as the new edition of C&C keeps the term race in it).  I have not and will not purchase this new version of S&W, the ToC on DTRPG betrays the new name for races.

As King of the OSR I proclaim all editions of S&W Complete after the Blue Devil Erol Otus cover are not OSR.  They are Faux-SR, and deserve all the ridicule these fake OSR games deserve.  I have spoken.
