Review-ish: Paranoia, Perfect Edition

 I've not bothered to buy this and definitely haven't read it.  This isn't really a review.  It's an intervention.

Paranoia: Perfect Edition is the seventh edition of the game.  

1st edition: 1984
2nd edition: 1987
"5th edition": 1995
XP: 2004
Troubleshooters: 2009
Red Clearance Edition: 2017
Perfect Edition: 2024

Most of the best older supplements were revised and/or created for XP.  They are totally compatible with Troubleshooters which is a refined version of XP that ditches the lame round-robin chargen from XP and therefore is superior to XP.  XP was the last properly supported edition.  Troubleshooters got nothing, Red Clearance got a few rehash modules and a ton of gimmicks.  I don't know what Perfect edition is but unless it's a reprint of Troubleshooters using art from Paranoia 2E, it's probably NOT the perfect edition of Paranoia.  2nd edition was pretty awesome for it's time but Troubleshooters is generally the best of all worlds EXCEPT artwork.  I spent some time recently finding the actual perfect edition of the game.  There is no real need to explain why, but I will.

This is the perfect edition of the game.  The best adventures of the entire line are present in Flashbacks.  You can probably play using just the presented Core and play functionally forever with the tools presented therein.  Adventures aren't super important in Paranoia and the supplements are just great for adding lore to the base world.  The Underplex was such a game changers that it deserved to be upgraded to a Core element.
